Mark Rice announces that as of today. his gripping crime thriller is available in all formats and across Amazon, Kindle and Smashwords websites.

A crime novel that starts in Dublin, Ireland but with tension building shifts to the Canary Islands, off the African coast. Matt had a deal go bad and had to get out of the country fast so he took a holiday in the far away Canary Islands gambling that the drugs gang wouldn’t follow for such a small debt.

Mark Joseph Rice (ne Rogers, pseudo name) was born in 1955 in Dublin, Ireland and worked for many years in London and Dublin as a qualified management accountant. He is the eldest of four sons and was educated in St Mary's College, Rathmines, Dublin before attending the Dublin Institute of Technology. In  1980 he emigrated to London, England and worked and lived there until 2000. Since that date he returned to Dublin and worked again as an accountant and Finance Manager. In 2012 used his keen observational skills to complete a series of humorous and touching short stories, contained in Fur Coats and Other Stories. A second volume was published in 2015 called Amusing Short Stories. An introduction to the world of cruising led him to write The Beginners Guide to Cruising in 2014 and since then he has been maintaining a blog weirdorwhat.wordpress.com where you can find further material. In 2017 he took time off to start writing his first novel and so Murder in Maspalomas, a crime murder mystery thriller was written and published this year.  The 54,400 word novel was based on a visit to Maspalomas in 2016 when he carried out some research on the island and then added a layer of fictional crime to the mix. He is working now on another fictional murder story and hopes to complete the book by the year end

How wrong could he be?

"I started the story with the gem of an idea, of an ordinary person who suddenly finds himself propelled into the world of crime, a world that exists in parallel to his normal world. Where nobody plays by the rules except maybe the "an eye for an eye" rule. Death is cheap, respect is crucial, losing face means losing life. If the drugs gang don't do forgiveness then leaving the country may be the only option open to Matt." Mark Rice went on "so taking the gang to another country where they have no connections gives our Matt a better chance to survive. But will he? I ask. Mark is giving nothing away. The story rattles along with many twists and turns before reaching it's end.
